“Natural resources are drawn from African land daily; minerals like tantalum, copper, bauxite, gold, diamonds and commodities as rubber, timber, petrol and cocoa. These are the resources that we have presented in this editorial. Nine resources that are vital to the lifestyle of the “modern” men and women are also, the reasons for many wars and conflicts throughout the continent.
Gifts of Nature Editorial is an homage to the African continent. A woman who is exposed through pure, delicate and strong aesthetics represents the continent. This woman, beautiful, proud and confident, legitimately embodies this part of the world that is deemed guilty for being rich. For centuries, false propaganda, glorifying its so-called poverty, has been spread worldwide. It was important for us to honour its beauty and wealth with the intention of dispelling false narratives about the continent.”
