It is a Japanese urban legend about a girl who lives in the gaps or the in-between-places in your house (in a tiny crack in your wall, behind your furniture, under your bed, etc).
She chooses her victim carefully, then she lives with him/her quietly. You might not be aware of her presence for a while until the moment she decided to stop hiding herself from you.
